Wichita State Visitor Guide - Flipbook - Page 3
As current students at Wichita State University, we’d like to show you why we love
Shocker Nation.
CONTENTS
Outside of class, we’ve been involved in student organizations, secured internships,
studied in residence at other universities both in the United State and abroad, and
cheered on our teams in Charles Koch Arena. There’s always something happening on
campus, the heart of Shocker Nation. For example, we’ve recently opened the new $17
million Shocker Success Center, a resource for over a dozen of student support services in
a single, welcoming space conveniently located in the heart of campus. Additionally, the
$60 million business school home, Woolsey Hall, opened in the summer of 2022.

Academics
Of course, the Wichita State community extends beyond campus. Partnerships within
Wichita provide students with the opportunity to complete research and gain professional
experience with employers like Airbus, Koch Industries, NetApp, Textron Aviation and
Wichita Public Schools. And, Wichita State's Old Town location — in the center of Wichita
— allows students to be in the middle of a bustling business and entertainment district.
Take some time to explore the guide and see all the opportunities Wichita State offers.
You can also follow @shockerexp on Instagram to see the campus from the eyes of our
students throughout the entire year. We hope you see why we are all proud to be called
SHOCKERS!
